What was the highlight of The Lince Braga
Wait till the new hotel chain opens!
First of all, I have to say that the hotel had 3 days left before closing up completely and being passed to a different hotel chain. Having said this, the staff was very friendly and helpful, provided us with a nice quiet room. Swimming pool was still working and especially the outside one very nice and welcoming in the heat. Garden chairs comfortable and the garden nicely kept.
Because it was three days away of being shut down, it already looked a bit "abandoned". Lighting in common areas was not bright enough, breakfast was missing eggs, spa facilities almost shut down.

Golden Tulip
The facilities were amazing. They had a snooker table, table tennis, tennis court, football field, spa, inside and outside pool and gym ALL included in the price, free of charge (even the snooker) The staff are really nice and helpful. The hotel is clean and the food is amazing, with fresh ingredients and a lot of variety.
Although the room was clean, it didn't appear well maintained. The walls needed painting, the surfaces were old and run down... It wouldn't have been a problem in a 3 star hotel but we felt like it didn't match the 4 star classification (in regards to rooms, the remaining hotel was really well maintained with a perfect old new balance, especially the dinning area)
